THE AKANNA WELLNESS CLEANSE

Your Complete Guide to the 7-Day REFRESH & 21-Day RESET

Welcome to Your Wellness Journey!

Welcome to Akanna Wellness! You have made an important decision to become more intentional about your health, nutrition, and daily habits.

Our plant-based cleanse programs are designed to help you increase your intake of fresh fruits, vegetables, and nutrient-rich juices while following a structured wellness routine.

Your body has natural systems that process and eliminate waste, including your liver, kidneys, and digestive tract. Our goal is to help you build healthier habits that support your body's normal functions.

Two Ways to Begin:

7-Day REFRESH: A seven-day introduction to raw, plant-based nutrition, fresh juices, hydration, and intentional wellness habits.

21-Day RESET: A longer program built around the same seven-day routine, repeated for three consecutive weeks.

Whether you choose seven or 21 days, consistency is more important than perfection.

Can You Buy Premade Juice?

Yes! We understand that not everyone has the time or equipment to prepare fresh juice every day.

Premade refrigerated vegetable juices may be convenient alternatives.

Examples include:

  • Suja

  • Evolution Fresh

These brands may be found at Costco and other grocery stores, depending on location and inventory.

Read the label carefully. Choose products with predominantly vegetable ingredients, no added sugar, and appropriate refrigeration instructions.

4. What Can You Eat During the Cleanse?

The regimen emphasizes fresh, uncooked, plant-based foods.

Breakfast

  • Fresh fruit

  • Vegetable juice

  • Water

Lunch

  • Large mixed-green salad

  • Cucumbers, peppers, shredded carrots, and other fresh vegetables

  • Dairy-free dressing

  • Vegetable juice

Dinner

  • Raw vegetable salad

  • Marinated mushrooms

  • Raw vegetable noodles

  • Chilled raw vegetable soup

  • Vegetable juice

Snacks

  • Fresh apples, berries, pears, and melons

  • Cucumbers, carrots, and bell peppers

  • Walnuts, pecans, or almonds

  • Pumpkin, sunflower, and sesame seeds

The original program excludes cashews and nutritional yeast during the cleansing period. These are program-specific restrictions, not foods that are inherently harmful.

5. Easy Raw Recipes

  • 1 pound fresh mushrooms, sliced

  • ¼ cup olive oil

  • Fresh parsley, thyme, or basil

  • 1 minced garlic clove

  • Fresh lemon juice

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  1. Clean and slice the mushrooms.

  5. Serve chilled over a fresh salad.

Use properly washed ingredients, refrigerate promptly, and consume within a safe storage period.

Recipe 2: Raw Tomato Soup

  • Fresh basil

  • Salt to taste

Directions

  1. Wash and chop the vegetables.

  2. Add ingredients to a blender.

  3. Blend until smooth.

  4. Chill before serving.

For those avoiding tomatoes, substitute a cucumber-and-bell-pepper chilled soup.

Recipe 3: Raw Trail Mix

Combine:

  • Walnuts

  • Pecans

  • Raw pumpkin seeds

  • Raw sunflower seeds

  • A small amount of unsweetened dried fruit, if desired

Divide into small portable servings.

Recipe 4: Lemon-Kissed Beets

Thinly slice or shred fresh raw beets. Toss with fresh lemon juice and a small pinch of salt.

Pack in a sealed, refrigerated container for a convenient snack.

6. How to Prepare and Store Your Juice

Freshly prepared juice is generally preferred.

Preparation Tips

  1. Wash all produce thoroughly.

  2. Use clean juicing equipment.

  3. Pour juice into clean, food-safe glass jars.

  4. Seal tightly and refrigerate immediately.

  5. Keep refrigerated juice protected from light.

  6. Prepare smaller batches whenever possible.

The original program suggests preparing enough juice for three to four days. However, fresh untreated juice can support microbial growth, so this should not be presented as a guaranteed safe storage period. Follow applicable food-safety guidance and the instructions for any commercially prepared juice.
